heavy birks sterling candlestick holders weighted?

hi i just picked these up at the thrift store for a buck each as soon as i saw them i thought weighted but when i found the hallmarks there is nothing that states weighted, but they look and feel like weighted so i assume they are? i just dont want to wreck them to crack them open to see

They look like typical weighted candle sticks. What's the bottom look like?

it has a lip rolled over to hold the bottom in place so im pretty sure its weighted
