Heavy Silver Ring by Grade School Dec 26 2007

Basic Detecting Data: Whites M-6, earphones, bullseye pinpointer, public grade school, winter 38 degrees F, 2"-3" topsoil then clay, Beavercreek, Oh; 2 hr hunt

I was hunting by a grade school today. Kids out for Xmas break. I found a heavy man's silver ring (.925 silver) about 4 ft out from the base of a tree--by the side of the school. It is probably where people went to get some air at a break in school plays.

The ring's design appears to contain 2, four-hooved beasts with Dragon's heads--eating snakes--either that or I shouldn't eat after midnight. Maybe it's an Aztec design. Inside it, I discovered a very tiny stamped impression that reads 925. I wonder what it is worth?

My wife passed it over an advertisement for diamond rings and said "become sparkly...become diamond." She claims I don't even have to wait until I find a diamond ring for her, just look to the ads. She waves her hand slowly across the paper. I hate Xmas ads. "You're right," I said. "I better get out there and dig more. Hey, tell the trash guy to get the cans out of the garage, will you. Bye!"
