I've been detecting for a few years. It's hard to find a place to search in the Finger Lakes. I think I might join a club in Rochester, Genessee Valley Treasure Seekers, we'll see. I mostly search in creeks and find a lot of weird things, nothing of real value. I enjoy the hobby despite my lack of good fortune. Cleaning up nature is part of the hobby and i definitely do my part there

I have some permissions and old home sites here in Alfred, your welcome to come join me. One is on an old 1800s home that was part of the underground rail road, another is an old school house, still trying to lock down the old tip top train station though... in my mind the ultimate spot around my town. then just a bunch of old foundations around.
