Hello From North Carolina

Hello Everyone,
I am a relative newbie to metal detecting. I have an old White's Classic II that I have used locally for hunting parks, school yards, etc. My wife and I recently purchased a vacation home on the coast of NC so, I hope to start doing some beach detecting soon. I think I now have an excuse for a new detector(for the beach).
Anyway, I live in central NC and would love to hear from others in the area for detecting and tips.

Where in nc are you at ?..I am a rockhound and know of many old home sites that might give up there richs..I have never been, but would love to try it...
