Been learning from the posts for awhile. Got a new Deus and its much different from my ATs. Only 10 or so hours so far but I'm learning!

Welcome, Im new on this forum as well.....saw that you are from North Carolina. I live in New Mexico now but I was born in Charlotte NC and spent first 6 years of my childhood in Cherryville. Bout 40 miles west of Charlotte....lots of relatives back there.

I left that area back in 63, as my dad was military. lived up and down the coast from Myrtle Beach to Valparaiso FL. I have a sister in Charlotte, but most of my aunts, uncles, cousins live in the Cherryville area....Lincolnton etc. Took my wife back there 5 years ago there about and really enjoyed the visit.....Wish I lived back there with all the history and all......great for metal detecting i guess.

Welcome from Va. I took the same road as you; I bought an AT Pro and used that for a year or so then bought a Deus. Now I use the AT Pro for the beach on the rare occasion that I get to go and lend it to folks that want to go hunting with me.

The Deus is so much better especially in trash that it is my MDer of choice. I hope you got the HF coil. Good luck and be sure to post your finds.

I've been to the Cherokee area plenty.. real pretty country.
