Welcome! I see just one thing and if it were me, I'd dispose of properly as that looks to be a rusty old ? but not worth any effort to even ID.
I do live in Denver, however, and am not finding any ancient iron artifacts.
What else ya got? Any gold?? })

Why do you say that? The object is attracted to a magnet, right? Or, is it made of stone??
Again, I'm in Denver and chuck old rusty iron objects in the trash, but am successful finding items made of gold and silver.

Maybe give us more info on what you think it might be and/or where it was found? Also, where are you located?

Does one feel the need to have a feather in their cap?

The member posted up an item that could very well be a lot of different things.
Looks like iron - but so what - lots of relics are - and are awesome.
So because it's not made of out of gold or silver it's not worthy and belongs in the trash.
Nice......

If the OP is wondering what it is maybe post it up in the "what is it" forum.
What Is It?
Include a size reference so members can relate what they are viewing-is it the size of a penny or a car rim.
