Help dating very old ring

I found this ring the other day and was wondering if someone can help me date it. There was a person on facebook who said it looks like a Medieval vesica seal, and usually is found in Europe. If that is the case, it must have a very interesting story on how it was found in New Jersey.

It does have that vesica signet ring look about it. Like a ring for a high ranking clergyman. You can still get them like that.



What is yours made of?

Yeah, it only has a similar look & is not anywhere close as old. Maybe 1890s, but not much older, still better than a plain one.

A real Bishop's signet ring I believe would be in gold. Have you tested yours?

its definately not gold, im thinking its more likely brass
