the rim is intact, no evidence of blunt force trauma, no evidence of being abraded --- copper plating not penetrated, far too much missing to be a greaser---- could it be--- (OH, NO!!!!--- not another Rick, Marty, and the team scam theory)

I personally think it was struck through an extremely thick layer of grease and metal. The substance was forgiving enough to keep from having a strong strike on the reverse.
