Help ID dime sized coins thanks hard to see them

Assuming the hole is in the 12 o'clock position,the "RO" as seen in the pic would indicate Carlos III (1759-1788) as a possibility. The diameter would tell its denomination: Use 20 mm for a 1R, 28 mm for a 2R; 34 mm for a 4R and 40 mm for an 8R.

Actually, the top coin could also be from Carlos IV (1788-1808). You mentioned "dime sized"; that being 17.9 mm in diameter. The 1/2R best fits into that measurement at 18 mm.

Thanks a ton Mack. That sounds right about the second one I found with buttons from the war of 1812
