Help ID Maker Of Brooch

Hi and hope everyone is having a good day. Thank you also in advance for your help. It is appreciated. I have a brooch/pin that I am trying to figure out information on this beautiful piece. Has a mark on back that is of a Big letter C and a 4 pointed star inside it. Very well made piece. Hope you can help with any information. I have looked, but have come up empty on maker.

This is very 1920's costume jewelry. There is a specialist in Redding, CA with a used store. I think costume jewelry is in the store's name. You might try looking him up. He is really nice!
