:hello: Hi there I want to buy this cigarette case from a local dealer, but I don't know anything about it - he says is silver but I have my doubts ,it could be alloy or any plated.
Also, anyone know what kind of year this might be and what technique used to make this ... looks like a press ! ..or is handcraft ?! how much will worth a case like this ?! I only have this pictures ..
if anyone could help much appreciate , thank you
Kind regards Alex

That looks like some kind of tiny silver purity mark, but I can't make it out. Maybe French?? I'm pretty sure it's a solid silver alloy of some grade and not plated. My idea of the age would be maybe late 19th early 20th century. It's very Art Nouveau in design imo.

thank you , yes looks like a Art Nouveau design , the guy told the marks are some kind of zoomorphic , so might be french since french have lots of those hallmarks ! ...thx again cya around

I guess that's one way of describing the mark, but it should mean something. How much is the seller asking for it ?

Looks like an Austrian, post 1922 hallmark. But the price seems a tad bit high.
