hi. i have this old bell. dont really know much about it? it says on the back NO.98 TOP P&E MFC CO NEW BRITAIN CT USA PAT'D AUG 1 1931........can somebody help me identify it plz? thanks

You have an antique hand crank door bell. You are just missing the key part that would be on the outside of the door. I just sold one on eBay. Cool one you got there. HH

Yep. Had one just like it on the first house I lived in.
