Hello All-

Hope everyone is doing well.

I was messing around with the Equinox 600 this morning on my front lawn and got a 13-15 signal and decided to dig it up.

Found this, and I don't know what it is. It is kind of heavy, I cleaned it up a bit and in the middle of "it" is what appears to be a black bar.

Hoping someone might be able to tell me what this is.

Thanks!
Ben

The middle of it is the actual Iron/Steel, the rest is rust, we might have a better chance of ID'ing it after the rust is off. Happy hunting!

That is what I was thinking. Maybe a flat head screw driver and a small hammer, to take some of the larger chunks of debris off. I will try and get it done tonight, with my other project of setting up a SDR, using a laptop and a USB SDR radio.

I use to wonder what every rusted piece of iron I dug was. I still do but I have given up trying to figure most of it out. If it was me I would soak it in vinegar for at least a few days and that will dissolve the rust. Then you may be able to get a better look at it. If you hit it with a hammer most likely it will bust apart. You never know sometimes you are surprised once all the rust is gone.
