Found in the woods near a river in eastern Kansas. I'm thinking it's from a bottle that you'd stick a needle into. The cap is not removable and has a rubber center. The bottle was at least as big as a 12 oz beer bottle, and was shattered (not by me).

Also found a 45 slug. Not a great day; these were the best finds, along with a penny I spotted with me naked eye.

if that measured out as a .45 slug, I would say that it is a veterinary bottle.

Veterinary medicine bottle. I haven't given a cow a shot for about 30 years, but that's the sort of bottle we used when vaccinating cattle back then, but med's might be in different types of bottles now.

That occurred to me this morning. I was racking my brain trying to figure out how such a bottle landed in the woods near a river in a semi-rural area.
