A friend found this. Appears to be pot metal possibly a cap from a tube of ???? about a quarter in size, has reeded edge for twisting off.
I can't quite make out the word on it.

I thought Palmolive at first but just can't get 9 letters out of that. Also can't find any examples of metal octagon caps.

This one also gives an idea of what’s on the cap... If you enlarge it you can kinda sorta see that it’s the underlined name.

Yep I see that but also notice how small the cap is? this one is quarter size and I also notice Palmolive uses just simple block letters on the products. This cap has a fancier script like.

I Don’t notice how small it is, they give us nothing to show scale. What I do notice is that “quarter size” doesn’t match the photo you posted.

Really? What did you use to judge the size of the tube in the ad?

Using your logic, they must have had a tiny little man to pose for this one:

The ID is correct. 1920's-30's Palmolive shave cream tube cap.

Oops my bad. I was thinking that the tube would not be as big around as a silver dollar since the cap is quarter in size. So the tube must be like the one pound version? Considering the large tubes are like 4 oz. I think my logics makes sense. Also I'm still wondering why they use block letters on everything but the cap.
Thank you to all who helped search. God bless.
