I was hunting a river and this rock gave me a good low tone...

KAbron, thanks for putting it down! Bring it to your university geology dept. they should be able to tell you? It looks to have a fusion crust and regmaglypts?
But the river can also cause that to some degree, but not it being metallic? there is a possibility of it being magnetite or hematite? if you don't mind me asking where did you find it? HH

Not at all, I found this rock in the kern river here in Southern California
