Since we got 10 inches of snow today, I spent my time going through my pile of last year's detecting finds. Here's ten buckles I've found, but I have no idea if any are worth saving! Please help me to date and identify them (shoe, belt or harness buckle).
The smallest are about an inch in length and the largest is around 2 1/2 inches. No identifying marks, except for the largest buckle. That has a letter "R" in a circle, which is probably the registered trademark logo.
All appear to be brass (none are magnetic) and a few still have remnants of their iron chafe. Some may have been silver plated at one time.
I know that none of these are really old, but are any of these buckles worth hanging on to?
