My uncle found this peice in a creek down in pike co illinois sometime 25 yrs ago. No scientist from dickson monds or spfld musem know what it is, they know that is is not indian though. Has anyone ever seen one of these before? The musem said they have had another guy bring two of them to get looked at, they were slighty different though still the same.
its about 2 1/2 inches across, and little less then an inch thick ...it is stone not metal

the people at d. mounds are idiots. first they dug the whole Indian mound up and displayed bones to us youngens on a field trip. and when some natives tried to bury them back they decided to go ahead and bury them up. i remember seeing the bones of a pregnant woman with a child in her belly down in that hole. it was the weirdest freak show... scary. almost as if white man had killed them and then dug them up later for display, and money. fake arrowheads and rabbit fur :'(

It's a meditation stone.

You trace the outline of the path with your finger. When you get to the center, you start again. While quietly contemplating.

I have always been appalled at the treatment of native Americans by the white people intruders. That would be 'we Americans.' Pathetic. I didn't do it; wasn't even alive. As such, I will not, cannot, apologize for I was not involved. That said, however, it should not stop our government, instead of giving billions to other countries, from giving support, tax reductions, and funds to these, our own people. Something is ... misplaced.
