A New Hampshire copper coin that never made it into circulation.
If real it is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and you better believe they have been counterfeited in the past.
I am sure China has made them, don't discount the possibility that others have too in this country even many years ago.
Many souvenirs have been made that say the word copy on them but scam artists would never do this.
Then again this was never a real circulated US coin so some info says many were sold at souvenirs sites for years and they didn't mention those had the word copy inscribed.

According to this article this is one coin that is pretty much impossible to find so chances are yours is real is...not good.
You may be the luckiest family on earth, though, so you need to weigh it and see.
Should weigh 5.15 grams if real and will have no seam around the edge which is a sure indication of a casted fake.

More info here...
Coin Value: US New Hampshire Copper (Counterfeit) 1776

Common souvenir type replica, used to see them for sale in souvenir shops in museums, historical sites etc.

Pay around $35.00 for grading services to PCGS to find out if it real or fake. Welcome and good hunting and good luck.
