AAAHHHH, your baby is on her way home.............

Glad to hear..... :icon_thumright:

Besides replacing the Plug on the Back,

He said he had to Clean some Corrosin Out
& It was Pretty Dirty inside also
including sand.

I Believe he said he also replaced the All Metal switch.

Cost was only $50.00

Tesoro would have done it for free. :D

Glad to see your machine is on its way home. Let's see some finds.

From what I have heard, Tesoro now charges on repairs if you are not the originaly owner now.

If I'm hunting in the water give me a Minelab.......Nulls on iron and will tell you when you have a gold ring with a piece of iron................

I haven't heard that they charge for repairs. Doesn't matter to me, I am the original owner of all mine.

I don't mind digging iron. If the gold is under the iron it still nulls.

my sovereign is 10 years old.

I would have been Shocked if it was free

I Wouldn't have been Shocked if they said $160

But Relieved at $50

From Tesoro Website........

"Our lifetime warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original purchaser. The warranty excludes batteries, damage caused by leaky batteries, cable breakage due to flexing, wear of the searchcoil housing, and leakage cause by the condition of water seals on underwater detectors. Also excluded are instruments which have been abused, altered, or repaired by an unauthorized party. "

It is only logicial to expect the "life time" warranty to only be good to the original owner.

I have nothing against Tesoro, they are a top of the line detector, I use to own a conquistador, for the right price I would buy a used Stingray.............

Jeff, glad it was only $50, well worth it for a Sovereign............

Ah, the clowns in brown are trying it out before you get it. :laughing7:

Hope you're back up and running soon. Hate it when an item goes halfway around the globe.

I think your count is off by 2 days, and you have to take in consideration the weekends and labor Day...............

Based on your dates your Sovereign arrived at the Minelab hospital on 8/21, a Friday, It left on 9/14, a Monday, that is 24 days from time they received it till they shipped it back to you, and 9 of those days were weekends and Labor Day holiday, so they had it 15 working days, and at the height of the repair season. Not really bad......

In the dead of winter I bet it would have been quicker as people don't usually find problems till they are using it or something happens while using it, and a lot of the country can't or don't use it in the winter due to the weather....

I know about being impatient though, I started calling Minelab 10 days after they signed for my Excal, they told me to just call back and check when I complained they didn't have an online site we could go to check the status of a repair.....

HaHa Yea I Added a Few too

???

Detector needs to be shipped back to Minelab already.
Probably send it in February, after the Hollidays.

Meter works 50% of the time.
Detector makes all kinds of False Tones 50% of the time.
Tried different coils. Tried everything.

Last try Coil didn't work when Pointed at the Ground
but worked when Held pointed at the sky.

Guess I need to search the clouds LOL

if I Push lightly on the Control Box connector
it fixes or causes noise depending on
if it's working right at the moment or not.

I Think their inside work went Foul :-\
