Help with id

Here are some of my finds from yesterday I would like some help to id the button and flat what looks to be some kind of token beside it.button looks to be gold plated.button was found were the British marched to Washington in 1814.front is wiped out.would be cool if it off a British uniform thanks for your help

not much of anything but corrosion on the other side Ill post a pic of it.
