Help with identifying pretty please

Thinking of cracking this one open. Somewhat light weight.

Wondering if rocks in picture 2 are agates?

Found the black ones on the beach but also found some about four to five feet down in my yard.

Has a lot of red , maybe iron ore?

All above found on shore of Lake Michigan , Illinois side.

I am not too good at rock identification but I do have similar geology here and a strong obsession with finding agates and so I'll give you my 2c on a few even if it is worth less than that.

The rocks in the 2nd picture do not look like agates to me. They look rough and opaque where agates should be more translucent and often have a more waxy appearance. They may be basalt (host rock for agate) and so if you see distinct translucent banding patterns on them there could be some "agate in matrix" but generally from the pics I would say probably not. Pretty striped rocks though.

The top rock in picture 3 appears to contain flint. The bottom rock in picture 3 might be an agate. The banding on the right looks promising. If it is more opaque though it could be banded flint. Same with the bottom right rock on picture 4, resembles agate or flint. Agate and flint are both forms of micro-crystalline quartz.

You look to have a mixture of metamorphic and basalt granites Penny, pic 1,2,5,6,7 and some chalcedony pics 3,4. The one your thinking of with pyrites I cant really tell. All are water worn and have nice character. The black pieces in pic 5 at the top make me wonder if they may be worn tourmaline or hornblend.

The one you thought was pyrite looks like an Apache tear

Due to the grainy nature of metamorphic stones, the ones with lines, may not polish Penny. The basalt one's, grey with large black inclusions, wont polish.
The stones in pictures 2 and 3 plus the black ones in picture 4 are candidate's for tumbling and polishing. Good luck
