help with pump

okay im looking to get into highbanking but i dont know what size pump i would need or brand or anything like that. does anyone have any good advice on what i should do?

Im new also but the people on here are going to ask for details about your highbanker. Its the only way to determind the pump size

For highbanking it seems like most sluice box's I have seen are around 10", that said you don't really need much more then an harbor frieght 1" clear water pump. But it all depends on what your going to be doing and what you plan for the future. How far are you going to have to pump the water, how much lift from the water source tou your highbanker. Do you plan to dredge with it? A good place to start is proline or keene and see what they are including with their kits. There is no need to put out big bucks for a high pressure pump when all your going to be doing is moving water from point a to point b.

Depending on what you are doing a one inch will do fine but In the area of clear water or a trash pump it is safer to go with a trash pump just in case you suck up some small gravels on accident and if you want to do some nozzle style dry land dredging a 2 inch pump might be a consideration.
