Help with Rock Identification

Dug this up when putting together a garden a few years ago. It's the rock with the red stripe in the middle. Any ideas if it's something unique and what it could be? Thanks, Tim.

I can't tell for sure but looks like some type of metamorphic rock with some stained layers caused by mineral impurities. Very interesting find.

Not sure what the geology lay out of the land is where you live but check out Migmatite. Should help your research.
