Okay so I'm hoping to get out with the tiger shark Wedensday. The area I plan to work is sort of overgrown but sandy underneath. Back in the seventies it was used quite a bit for camping. Any thoughts or advice on settings would be appreciated.

Make sure you ground balance properly, keep your disc to a minimum. Sandy soil is easy to dig, your chances of finding good stuff will be better, my two cents worth.

The settings on the Tiger Shark are simple. GB in ALL METAL Fast keeping coil level all the time. Switch to DISC to hunt with only Bobby Pins disc out so you get a funny broken sound on them. It helps to lay a bunch of items on clean ground to see where they disc out so you learn them.

Thanks Sandman and Froggy. This Tiger Shark is so much different than the MXT.
