I don't have much information on this but one story and not sure how to find out more on it. Any help would be Appreciated. The story is that it leads to Buried treasure.

There is a fish in the creek that I haven't seen but it points to the first snake, that snake points to the horse head, and the ear on the horse points to the second snake that is coiled up

The lack of response may be due to the limited info, picture limitations, and people not seeing the post.......
As for me, don't have a clue as to what it means. but then again I do recall people speaking about the significance of the animals, etc......
Good luck, very interesting it is.......any trees or other markers around, even at a distance.

When I first was taken to this area I didn't really look to much (in my younger years). Now I'm older and think back on it wish I had got more information about it. The person that took me to it has passed away now and don't know how to get more information about the story to do more research and was hoping that someone could help. I went back to the area about a year ago and a fire had been in the area now it doesn't look the same as far as trees. The story that was told to me is Jess James had hide out in this area and hid some of his money in the area. This show the way to it. I know there are books with marking of animals show the way (I have one) but it doesn't have any animals like these in it. I have been to a cave around 2-3 miles away that is said to be another one of his hideouts I went to this area as well but is on private property now so have to find out who own it before metal detecting it. I have been to my local library but can't find any info on this area has far as hideouts in the area. I'm new at look for treasure from back in the day lol. Hoping that someone could give me a hand over the wall I have hit on this. The pics of the first snake is around 6 foot long the other are only about 1-2 foot, they are at last 3 mile away from anything which in this area is a long ways. I have never heard of anyone else talk about this carving in the rock and was told many years ago when first shown that not very many people even know about them. I would love any help
Thanks

There seems to be some symbols by the "ears" try pouring water on it and take a pic sometimes that brings stuff out. a1.jpg without anything to go on I would work it as a map that was made into a horse...top line a road the bridle train tracks bottom line a creek....just a wild guess.

What part of Oklahoma are you from? I have a lot of family in south east Oklahoma. This is extremely intriguing, and I can't wait to see what you find out!!!

Before you take pictures, I suggest you go over the marks with chalk. Now, the coiled snake is usually a 'Spanish' warning of a death trap. Be careful! Frank...
