Picked up this cool footed bowl this morning at an estate sale. I picked up over 37 ozt of sterling for a good bit under spot. I've checked 925-1000.com for a match under the letter C in american silver marks without any success. Anyone seen this one before??

Could this be what they mean by "atomic age"? Incidentally, don't those feet look just like baby-bottle nipples?

Maybe the udder from the Jetson's robotic cow . . .:icon_scratch:

Great score, btw!

Interesting piece. I'm not sure it is complete but a good find

Interesting design for sure. Kind of reminds me of a cows udder. Could be the planet Saturn. May have had a lid at one time? :dontknow:. It's probably vary rare and may be worth a lot more then the scrap value because of the designer of it???. I'm seeing it more in the art deco, era then the atomic age. The construction of it is superb. Nice and heavy looking.

It's definitely cool. When you turn it upside down it looks like a "futuristic" 50's type space ship. I didn't see a lid of any kind at the sale. Going back for half price day this morning so I'll be sure to look again.
