Hi.
I'm in need of some help from y'all. I really don't know what I found today or if it is worth anything but something told me to hang on to it. I work at a gas station and come across old coins and dollars all the time. This is the first time I've found a coin like this. The only thing I can really make out is the year 1918 and 1/2 mark is on it. If anyone knows a little about it and its value please fill me in. I also found a $10 star note. The serial number is very low. Is this rare? Could it be worth more than face value? I attached a few pics of each. Thanks for your time and help in advance!

some collectors specialize in star notes, and with that one having such a low serial number I think it would be worth hanging on to. to the right buyer, you might make a few bucks
