Well, this type of "initials only" maverick is generally impossible to attribute with any degree of certainty. The initials C. B. (or maybe B. C.) are probably those of the proprietor of the business that used this token, and the business was likely a saloon or bar where 5¢ would buy a beer. Why did the proprietor not have his full name and location put on the token? There are many reasons, including the possibility that he may have been operating on the shady side of the law and didn't want to disclose any more evidence that necessary. Hard to tell, hard to tell...

found listing as C.B. PAWNEE, OK in a token listing that i have. i am new member, going through listings trying to help id and contact token interest. mike
