I wear canvas snake boots in and out of the water due to those guys. Even wearing snake boots if you are below the banks I still have to be aware and always use my stick to beat the grass in front of me. Lucky for me I have only seen I big Copperhead in all of my hunts. I went around him and kept going.

Thanks . I want usually kill them because I'm invading there territory. That one was around our cattle and too close to home. I've read if you transplant a snake away from his den they wii die.
