Here's MY thread for all you folks who've begun to think I'm stuck in PREHISTORY!

My basis is very old C&W, but my grandfather listened to WCKY in Cinncinatti, OH - Bluegrass in the early 50's, and then I came to Rock in the early 60's, and later on listened to all kinds - as needed to keep the house happy with my teen kids...

So, let me throw some stuff out there, aside from the restraints of existing threads. All Genres welcome - provided they reach our souls!

Let's add this:

And another:

And another:

How long has it been since we've heard this?

Of course there's this :) Twas the time along time ago !!!

And whatta ya'll think!!!

Of course there's this!

But let's go back a step!

And since Paul Revere just passed:

One them:

And I went into the army, and the war with this: And just the what the hell did I know? I was an innocent unprepared for what i saw and learned.

I grew up to mom playing flute to Jethro Tull....Not sure If this song has been put anywhere yet!

My mom also played this..She was at Kent state during this time.

Some songs seem to define events in our lives, as does CSN&Y's Ohio.....
I can't listen to that song without being taken back in time.

I heard it when I was young and on the radio through life..I never really listened to the words. A while back, when I was helping her go through boxes of stuff, I found a box with all her Kent stuff. Head bands,Magazine's articles, pictures, Flyers that were passed around,Letters from her brother and other friends that were drafted. After she explained everything, The song brought a whole new meaning! Along with many others from that time!

I would assume she was there during the killings. That event changed who I was. I went from Mom's Apple Pie to radical and stayed that way for a few years. They were protesting me. I was in Cambodia at the time.
