omg I cant stand it..... I want so very badly to see and actually be in a forgotten old ghost town of NJ... Does anyone wanna find one and go with me... I am so dying to see the real past.. of course, we need to pick which one, and who owns it, seek permission and go.. but god I wanna go to badly...

It is still worth it to go see any of these ghost towns. I wouldn't waste my time with a detector, even if it was allowed. These sites are so well known that they were all heavily detected back in the 1970's. You would only get frustrated after hours of detecting.

I recommend seeing the following ghost towns. Washington, Martha, Hampton Furnace and Atsion (the easiest one to get to. It is right off of route 206, a few miles north of Hammonton. Parkdale is a more modern ghost town a few miles from Atsion and Hampton Furnace.

All are worth the drive, but for some you will need 4WD.
