If you could find accurate records from (or of )Luis de Moscoso and surviving company of De-Soto's men you might find a hint of if anything valuable survived or was cached.
Where did the pearls end up?
Moscoso told tales of adventure. Enough to attract a sponsor to return to North America. Yet he declined.....Hinting to me there was nothing valuable enough cached (if anything was) he wanted to recover.

Mention was made of the attention some of the furs the surviving party wore. Which in a way , could be considered treasure as far as the interest sparked in their origins.
Too , missionary work was inspired. While noting previous explorations were treasure based as opposed to caring at all for natives ,(and the cruelties imposed instead). Without mention of success in treasure locating.
