Hexagonal Aviation Special Metal - WMR & co

I found this in a place close to my home in Asturias (Europe). I have no clue what is this, its made of lead (i think) its very heavy. There have been many troops in this area (from Franco, Hitler, Communists, etc... but could have any other origin). Its strange it is labeled in English, as the language spoken here is spanish.

What is this? Its one of my very first findings.

what's on the back of it? I find nothing on aviation special metal, WMR & Co I'm thinking it would be like (W) ? ? ? Metal Refinery & Co. or something like that? Being English spellings on it wouldn't it seem to be from the U.S. or the U.K. ? Is it just a block of metal or is it a component to something? Maybe a part to an aircraft? Just a bit more info may help?

If it's babbitt, the sides are probably slightly tapered to pop out of the mold. It also probably weighs an even amount in pounds. Just a SWAG.

After thinking back....the hockey puck style came in all manner of weights. 2lbs...3....4-1/2....and some weird ones in odd oz. weights. Wondering if the three stars on yours represents 3 lbs.

Just a thought -- the "&" doesn't look quite right, and wouldn't usually be followed by a period, but I can't figure out what it is if not that.

I have no clue where it comes from, trie dto search online but i found nothing, seems to be that kind of "babbit" used to weight the planes, but i dont know what army belongs to. Its really weird.
