Very Cool. My daughter started digging with me about the same age and MD'ed until she was 13. She lost interest in it then but still has the relics and stuff she dug. I just remembered when she was younger she called my detecor a yang yang and would get a stick and swing it like a detector and pretended she was digging. I got a wood dowel cut one end at an angle and tacked a plastic disc on that end and made her a "detector" To her it was a good as a real one.
