Metal Detecting
Decided to get back into metal detecting! Lot has changed since the 70's!!! Had a White's Beachcomber while living in Hawaii from '73 - '77. Detected Waikiki Beach quite often. 40 years later (wow), here I am in New Mexico wanting to start detecting again. Bought a BH Time Ranger. Learning how to detect all over again! Just been detecting around the neighborhood, learning all the different tones and what they mean on this machine. Back in the 70's, whatever tone I got I dug up, probably still do that until I get used to the different tones. Couple of Civil War skirmishes around the Rio Grande that I'll check out, sure they've been detected before but, I'll check it out anyway, never know!!!

Welcome. If you are near Albuquerque try to attend a meeting of the AMDA. If I remember correctly that stands for Albuquerque Metal Detecting Association. Just Google it. They meet monthly and hunt monthly as a club. Great bunch of guys and ladies.
