I’ve been having a lot of downtime from Detecting all my good spots where I pretty much cleaned out isn’t worth the gas on getting there at this time. So I’ve been playing with the old buttons I have found and I separated two of this button to go on the display where I found all the rest of my 1812 buttons in that display. I wish I would’ve took a picture of it before it was a smooth flat button I put it in some lemon juice for a little bit and look and I saw what I thought was a circle I left it in there overnight not thinking anything would get ruined since it was just a flat button but here’s what I got when I woke up. I’ll see the calendar eagle in the cannonball and I think on the bottom I see a straight line and underneath” FG”. I’m seeing canons facing to the left but this one is facing toward the right and I can’t find it

It been strange that I can’t find one with the canon pointing to the right and the 10 cannon balls on the left is it that rare! Lol

==================================
I'm a little confused, Truth.
If you're looking for the cannon pointing to one side and 10 cannon balls on the opposite side ... I'm guessing you're having a hard time because one doesn't seem to exist ?

What you seem to have is a cannon pointing to the same side along with 7 ??? cannon balls.
Here's two pics of the ones with a round wheel and 6 cannon balls.

There is a variant, which I suspect is the one you have.
No picture to show you ... but it would have more of an oval wheel ... and a 7th cannon ball. I think this is the one you found. See the pink wheel in my pic ... I think ? it may be slightly oval ... and there does seem to be an extra cannon ball.

Wish we could see the back. You want to look for any hint of letters circling around the center that might say ARMITAGE PHILA. That may or may not be on the back.

The 1802 date looks pretty solid as the beginning ... I'm seeing 1808 to 1812 as possible ending dates, but it all seems to fall nicely with your other finds.

I'm thinking you not only found a very rare button, but yours is the extra rare variant with the extra (7) cannon ball.
Pretty cool find.

It gets kind of confusing, but I think we're on the right track.
