Thrilled to have joined this site. I am a late bloomer to this. Always loved watching shows, learning about history. I am now 50 y/o with a Jeep, no kids or husband, but a huge desire for exploring. With free time for the first time in my adult life I am anxious to get started! Have been out to the Petroglyphs NE of Virginia City. With the history of Northern Nevada and the Northern Sierras I am sure there is so much more out there. Anyone local and looking for a buddy give me a shout!!!! Any advice is more than welcome. I need to get a metal detector as well.
Would LOVE to speak/chat with anyone familiar with historical finds around the world. I am a sponge ready to soak it all in.

Welcome from the back hills of northeastern Oregon! You are in a great location so you should be able to find lots of great places to hunt. Been to your part of the country a few times and I like it (not enough to live there!). Good luck. Look for a treasure hunting club in your area... they would be a lot of help starting up.
