Funny how when the frustration with a site is starting to build to breaking point, something will come out of the ground that immediately brightens the morning.
Reaching near the end of my hunt I was close to skunked and had moved form where I was getting nothing behind the goal post to about the sideline mid field where I figured kids would go as it?s shady. Hit on something jumpy ~55-83 which is usually junk/iron but something was different with the sound so I dug it.

I?m usually a silent hunter but when I saw the unmistakable silver sitting on leather and several coins in the hole I uttered an audible and probably loud ?Oh!? Seven coins in total. Highlights are the dime (1964) and a wheat (1940). Youngest coins are 1965 so it was lost probably that year. Too bad the kid was poor, lol. Some quarters would have been nice! I scanned that hole hard but seven was the luckiest I was getting.

I?ve had coin spills and found stacks but I can now notch my first coin pouch off the list.
