Hi I have a dumb question about coils

Do I have to do anything special when I swap out the coil on a legend? Like restart it or...anything?

I would have it turned off when swapping them, but, otherwise you shouldn't have to do anything special. The only detectors I know where you have to choose the specific coil from a menu are the XP detectors.

Not a dumb question at all. No sincerely asked question looking to improve and and insure a good detecting experience should ever be considered dumb. I say congrats on being bold enough to ask a question which you may have thought sounded dumb. And BTW, I learned from it too. Thanks.

Yes , you must turn it back on to restart detecting. LOL
