Hi guys an gals..I dug this at an old redoubt here in n/z, circa 1864...I have dug enfield bullets and battlesite relics ..old coins of the victorian period..this redoubt was garrisoned by british troops ...(70th regiment)..what do you think it was???? it is in reasonable shape..bit dented and a part of a tag showing...thin ..nothing on the back...I feel its part of there uniforms but to be honest I dont know...brass I feel as the id on the detector showed it at that...thanks in advance..and take care...cheers des

Thanks for the confidence, but on this one its a guess. It does however 'ring a bell' but I'm not sure which one :icon_scratch: :laughing9:

It may help someone down the right path, or we need a more convincing ID from elsewhere.

I do agree with the age guess of Victorian (probably late) or Edwardian. (purely on its looks)
