So like others I've searched homepages high and low only to find no coins. I've heard that they were probably broke, didn't lose them and ect. But here's the thing... if I had a mill or any other business that involved customers coming and going daily I know I be a little untrusting and hide my money. Especially living far away from town .... so aside from in the home, reckon where they would bury it? How far away and what kind of markers to find it would they use? Any ideas?

Fence posts..always check around the base of them.

Any prominent tree within sight of the house.

A large rock sitting where it doesn't look natural.

If you're hunting for a cache, those are all good spots to look.

Often times within sight of the house.
I agree completely with DizzyDigger’s info. I would add, near a well or cistern.
Indoors: in attics, in walls, under stone slabs for fireplace floor, in stacked rock foundations.

I'm not really seeing any signs of fence post. But I really that in this particular spot it would be around the base of a tree. My gut feeling is telling me that there is something there. I've honestly considered griding it off.
