We may end up scratching every SE Florida beach of the list if this is a trend. :'(

The process described is how many lower east coast beaches in nature work. The waves rush in carrying, as the velocity drops, the suspended material drops. The water permeates into the sand and returns thru the substrate. The problem is..beach sand moves south along the beach due to wave action, and there is no new sand moving south because of all the stabilized inlets which trap the sand moving south. Thus, accelerated erosion.

The CRAP being placed on our once pristine beaches is hardly beach compatible material, and doesn't act like the natural product. One advantage of the tubes is that some excavation must be undertaken to install them..fresh material from deep down to search!

I noticed on TV that they are digging on Hillboro Beach. Anyone been there?

I just noticed this last post of yours or i would have looked yesterday for you. I hadn't heard anything though.

Hey guys. Im heading down to Coral Springs to visit my niece and she lives about 20 miles from Hillsboro beach. Any current updates on the condition of the beach? While the girls lay in the sun I though I might try out the new Garrett.
