hit big at the test hole on the river

The banks of rivers are the best places other than outhouses to find bottles...proof is in the pudding on what geo4472 and I dig

I concur. I've had my best luck (only luck really) next to rivers.

Geo! Nice to see you back at it for another season of awesomeness! Your posts are better than the vacation I'm not going to get this year ;)

how did you find your spot?

You are killing it Jim. The Mueller hutch is awesome, and so are the torpedoes. I think bell telephone sign is fantastic. Thanks for all the photos especially the shot of the river. (Be careful, someone might take over your dig site). Wishing you continued success and looking forward to more finds

Amazing!-- Great sign-- shoot, EVERYthing's great:thumbsup: Good luck this weekend ;)

Keep up the great work George. The hutch king has returned. Just in case you didn't know this already, that Joseph Campbell is the one who started Campbell Soup. Definitely a super dump you are in. RC

gave it a shot

the rain we got here brought the river up over where I was digging tried a little higher up the bank but to much mud and bailing water but did find a few things .
found a elias Samuel whiskey flask (corner was blown out) found a h Levin & sons hutch but it has a crack in it and found a chas fletcher med bottle...also found what appears to be some kind of coin to worn cant make out what is on it but I tested it and it is 80-90 percent silver the pic with the ih I found the other day shows the size of the coin? thing thanks for looking

give us real good pix of the silver and we can figure it out for you.

Nice job Geo. I admire your preserverance. Sorry the hutch is cracked. I keep my castoria bottles in a wood crate! Keep up the good work.

Man..Jim..I thought my spot was a good dump (not counting the shortstop for coughs)....psyched to be digging with you at that location tomorrow...

I need to give my arms a rest slinging muck and bricks (...and shoes) on the banks of the Hudson. ..need to dig some somewhat softer ground...lol..

I have to take a break but I will read the rest of your thread later , Hope to see a Silver coin or two even if it's a Rosie ,LOL
If not that's Cool , I assume you need an extra room or 2 to put all those killer bottles.
