yea my hands get dirty about 2-3 ft down the mud is black from all the chems and dyes that the manufacturers use to dump in the river way back when i think because of that stuff is why when i find certain stuff (leather shoes,bits of clothing,etc.) they are still in the condition they are the chems preserved them to an extent

got juiced today

well not really but did find a vintage orange juicer,also found my 4th and 5th ad plates for the manhattan shirt co,a 1888 spreitzer hutch,another nice gail bordens eagle brand 1 qt (makes that my 4th one here),a marble,some mother of pearl from an old shell, a corked bottle with contents still in it can't believe how clean the cork is(pretty neat shape flat on one side)and the swinley the swinley might be an unlisted it has the longer neck and the color is a real,real light pink or purple and in real good shape thanks for looking

heart skipped a beat

when i first seen the end looking gold with hardly any crud on it thought i hit a big pay day but,ended up been just thick gold plating still nice though. wasn't out long so didn't find a lot the bracelet,old shoe pollish bottle,a little round aqua,a champagne bottle,real thick copper wire,an old clay marble,and 1-or 2 round bottoms left them have to many now thanks for looking

well its finally here the digging season ending cold weather so won't be digging (most likely anyway) anymore this year so just in case just wanted to tell everyone thanks for watching my posts and have a very,very nice holiday season see yous in the spring

Well George, it has definitely been a fun ride. This has been one of the longest lasting threads that has had people waiting to see what else you may find. I have been digging bottles for 25 years now and love seeing new diggers and their enthusiasm. If there were such a thing as new digger or even digger of the year, my friend you would definitely get my vote. Keep up the great work and I see some great finds in your near future. Hopefully you dig E some unknown Patersons. If you have faith and patience, you will eventually find what you have been looking for. RC
