hit up a school yard for 45 mins got 4 dimes 8 pennies and 2 Canadian pennies plus the usual bottle caps and such my gf got a quarter, 2 dimes and 4 pennies and some scrap

Instead of schools, try hunting soccer fields. Almost everytime I hunt them I always seem to come away with some kind of a keeper.
