Went out a few times this past week hoping to build up my 2018 totals.
I met up with a buddy at an old park that was is extremely beat down to the point where you could go without a high tone for an hour or so and then its usually junk.
I was there for about 30-45 mins...no high tones but then heard a scratchy "iron like" signal, but it kept it and was pinpointing around 8-10". I was hoping it could be an Indian or really just a coin.
I dug a hole about a foot deep and foot wide and couldn't find it with my handheld and go back over it didnt sound great. I gave up on it after about 10 mins and filled in the hole. I swung over it again and it was a screaming 82 and on top of the ground.
Finally saw a little silver disk!

It ended up being a 1912 Barber
Walked around the park for another couple hours with no luck and then started hitting the nickels BIG!!

Found the Buff about 5" and then came across the V-Nicks which I found less than 5 minutes apart.
Next hunt was in a new spot where I scored 3 Silver's and a really nice Pandora ring..that was on top of the ground and a little gold over sterling little heart locket and then a few misc. silvers pieces

Funny how the last week of the year in some of the most hunted places I end up having hunts like this.
On top of the goodies I got. I ended up with over 20 dollars in clad.
Happy Holidays!
