Holy Fu.....gio (updated with obverse pic)
First time out this year. Secured a circa 1740-1760 house in CT. Popped out this Large Cent and first thing I notice is the linked circles on reverse. I thought it was a Chain Cent, I couldn't remember exactly what one looked like. As it turns out, it's a 1787 Fugio. The obverse looks pretty bad and not sure if it will clean up enough to see any detail, but the reverse confirms a 1787 coin. My oldest Post Colonial coin.
Also dug a '52 Rosie (But, who cares, I got an oldie)
Edit: added obverse pic. I gently scraped off the grit with a toothpick. I can make out the * 178 . That's all the detail I can see.
