During my lunch break today I was hunting a park that I've been working for quite some time. I've found a lot of wheats, mercury dimes and silver Roosevelt dimes, but nothing super old. Today, I went over a target that I thought was a zincoln, but it was much deeper than a zincoln should be at this park (about five inches deep). I dug down and dug up what I thought was some kind of token, but with all the dirt that was crusted to it, I couldn't tell what it was. When I got home and soaked it, I couldn't believe what I was holding. It was an 1852 Bank of Upper Canada Half Penny. I just about fainted. This is by far the oldest coin I've ever found! What an awesome surprise!!
