I really like digging with others in different states 
, but there's nothing like having a home field advantage. 
Started out this morning at a state park that used to be several farms back in the 1800's right through the 1940's. There were plenty of trashy areas around the homestead I chose to hunt. After a couple hours and I did pull a few keepers (the top row in the all finds pic). The coolest piece is a car plate from an Auburn Beauty Six automobile. The only coin dug was a 1944 Wheat,
Later I went back to my latest permission. I saw the owner doing some gardening and offered to do a little labor for her as a thanks for the permission. She thanked me for the offer but turned it down and said I could hunt again today if I wanted to. I finished my 1st grid of the site today (about 1/3 of the yard) in 2 hours swinging time. I pulled a 1942 Quarter, 43 Merc, 1883 IHC, and 4 wheats (1919, 36, 56D & 57D).
The other finds were a button, lead weight, buckle and a toy car.
Pulled 16 coins total, 8 copper memorials and 8 keepers, not a bad ratio.
